Burr Elm Kitchen - Chew Magna
This kitchen has a combination of traditional framed and painted fascias, with elements in Elm. There is a long and tall sideboard, and a curved wall incorporating an oven at it's centre. The striking panels are achieved by quarter book matching Burr Elm veneers.
There is also an Elm breakfast bar, and an elliptical Elm kitchen table with a centre pedestal which easily accommodates six chairs. In all, three UK timber suppliers were visited in the process of selecting Elm for this job, which was challenging in many respects. The result is a spacious and well functioning kitchen that is in constant use.
All of the drawers, including the curved ones, are made from solid Oak with dovetail joints.
